The government aims to double annual international tourist arrivals, targeting three million visitors by 2026. This goal is based on the record-breaking 2023 tourist numbers, which surpassed 1.5 million ¹ ² ³.

To achieve this target, Zambia has waived visa requirements for citizens of 53 additional countries, starting January 1, 2025. This move brings the total number of visa-free countries to 167, making Zambia a more accessible destination for international travelers ¹ ² ³.
